Loaves & Fishes RI Feeding Ministry

The world we have faced ever since the appearance of COVID has been full of challenges and surprises. Starting up the Loaves and Fishes ministry has been no exception to this. Thankfully, it is led by a wonderful group of dedicated and adaptable people.
We continue to support the Woonsocket Family Shelter with monthly items like bedding, clothing, personal hygiene and healthcare products as needed. In addition, we are preparing monthly bag lunches, hot food, and drinks for clients in Woonsocket as well as residents at the Greenwich Hotel.
Thank you all so much for your continued involvement and commitment, especially as we work to get this beautiful ministry back up and running.

Just a friendly reminder, if you can only sign up for a portion of a slot, do not let it deter you, any and all offerings are greatly appreciated! If you are new to the ministry, there are several ways to be involved, including donating items, helping prep and going on the run. If you’d like to come on the run but aren’t sure how to help, there will be experienced volunteers on hand to guide you. Hope you can join us!
For the run, prep work at St. Luke’s starts at 10 a.m. We will leave around 11:30 a.m. and return by 3 p.m.
If you would like to help with the clothing side of this ministry, we can always use you! Much of that work is done at different times during the month. Contact Joyce Harvey or Caroline Sparhawk here if you are interested.

Please do NOT leave items in the preschool room. On the day of the run, leave items in the main lobby (clothing, nonperishables) or kitchen (perishable foods).
