At St. Luke’s, Christian education is available to all: adults and youth. We believe Faith formation is an ongoing and enriching pursuit as we seek to deepen our relationship with God.
"We invite you in the name of the Church, to the observation of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God's holy Word"
(Book of Common Prayer, p. 265).
We invite you to join with us on our journey through the season of Lent. As we pray, reflect, study, and listen together, we do so trusting that these faithful disciplines will make our celebration of Easter even more meaningful and glorious.
Please join us on Sunday mornings at 9am for our Adult Faith Formation Lenten Book Study. This year we will read together Craig A. Evans and N.T. Wright's book Jesus, The Final Days: What Really Happened. Books can be purchased through the parish office. This program will run from February 18, 2018 - March 18, 2018.
Beginning on Tuesday, March 6 and continuing on March 13 and 20, we will be offering a weeknight Lenten program aimed at reading and meditating on God’s holy Word. Our sessions will begin at 7pm with a simple celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Our worship will be followed by guided reflection and conversation on a scripture passage assigned for the following Sunday. We will bring our conversation to a close at 8:30pm (with a hard stop at 9pm.)
In addition to this offering, we also recommend the following online resources for your consideration:
