Sunday Morning Book Study
Join us at 9am on December 2, 9, 16, and 23 for our Advent book study.  This year we will be reading Walter Brueggemann's book Names for the Messiah: An Advent Study.  Books are available in the parish office for $12.  Scholarship money is available to cover the cost of the book.

Faith formation is the lifelong process of growing in our relationship with God, self, others, and all creation. Every experience in our lives can provide us with the opportunity to express our faith; the challenge we face is recognizing these opportunities and learning ways to live a Christian life in a secular world.

At St. Lukeís we believe that life-long learning is an integral part of our Christian life. It is important for growing in our relationship with God, self, and others. And one of our foundation principals is that we are never too old to learn.

To support this, we offer a 9 AM Sunday Adult Faith Formation series that includes:

  •  Book Studies
  •  Guest Speakers
  •   Educational Programs

In addition, we offer at various times throughout the week during the day and evenings:

  • Bible Study
  • Womenís Book Group. We read books that are spiritual and/or theological, gathering Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. We welcome all women who are interested in reading and discussing books that are selected by the group. This Fall we are reading Searching for Sunday by Rachel Held Evan.
  •  Inquirers class for those who want to learn more about the Episcopal Church
  •  Theology on Tap, a menís group that gets together to discuss theology and share fellowship in a relaxed  setting
  •   Prayer groups
  •   Centering Prayer
